My name is Nienke van Beers, Bureauvanbeers is my business name. Originally educated as an art historian, I decided to pursue my path in the world of marketing, communications and project management. During my career, I have gained wide experience in numerous projects in the contemporary art world, Dutch government and higher education. I am an experienced manager, but one who knows the tricks of the trade.
I handled the publicity campaigns for outdoor exhibitions and art events such as Sonsbeek 2008 and Paul McCarthy's AirPressure, directed communication projects at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and temporarily took over the daily business as interim communication manager at Fonds BKVB, SKOR and the Willem de Kooning Academy. From 2014-2020 I was the head of Marketing & Communications at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
In recent years I have been working with clients to improve work processes in the area of internal and external communications and marketing, such as the Amsterdam Fire Brigade and music venue TivoliVredenburg.
I also likes to take side paths!
For example, I will be managing a 9-room Bed and Breakfast in Burgundy, France in Spring 2024. First off, I will organise a 7-day documentary workshop in April by acclaimed directors Carin Goeijers and Walter Stokman. Do join!
